Summer Field Hockey Schedule

Below is Field Hockey’s summer schedule for anyone interested in playing in the fall: Firebird Field Hockey Camp –  June 24-28, 6-8pm Open Fields: Sundays – Starting June 9th, 4-6pm; Wednesdays – Starting June 5th, 7-9pm; No Open Fields: June 12, 19, 26, 30, July 24, 31 Instructional Team Practice – July 9, 11, 23-25, 29-31, 5-8pm Senior Conditioning

Senior Conditioning Starting March 4th, 3:15-4:30pm

Spring Conditioning starts Monday, March 4th from 3:15-4:30pm meeting in the athletic lobby.  Conditioning will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you have any questions contact Coach Miller at macie.miller.2012@owu.edu.

Field Hockey Ends the Season with Wins Against Talawanda

Fairmont Field Hockey ends their regular season with 2 wins against Talawnada.  JV started off the night with a 2-0 win over the Braves.  Megan McGhee (’21) had 1 goal and 1 assist.  Grace Wetzel (’22) had 1 goal.  Lucia Pett (’22) had 3 goalie saves and is credited with the shutout.  JV had 7

JV Field Hockey Ties Talawanda HS, 1-1

JV Field Hockey played their last league game against Talawanda High School.  Talawanda scored first with less than a minute left in the first half.  Fairmont dominated the game with 10 offensive corners but were unable to score until 15 minutes left in the game by Bailey Riley (’21).  The game ended in a 1-1

JV Field Hockey Beats Indian Hill for 2nd Time, 2-1

JV field hockey beat the Indian Hill braves for the second time this season.  The Birds took the lead with 15 minutes left in the first half with a goal by Megan McGhee (’21).  About 2 minutes later McGhee got her stick on the ball again and scored.  The Braves came back fighting and were

JV faced off against league opponent, Mount Notre Dame.  The first half remained very competitive.  The Birds and Cougars went back and fourth with Fairmont stopping all advances that MND had.  Unfortunately in the second half MND hit their stride and scored 3 goals within 10 minutes.  With 6 minutes left in the game, Fairmont
