Davis Makes All-Ohio Field Hockey Team for the 2nd Year

Lucy Davis, Senior, made the list of the top 15 players in the state!  This list is voted on by coaches from around the state and was presented on Sunday before the annual Senior Showcase.  This is Davis’s second year receiving this honor.  Davis has also been selected for the South West Ohio Field Hockey

Field Hockey Advances to District Final!!

Fairmont faced off against St. Ursula Academy in the District Semi-finals.  Earlier in the season, they tied 0-0.  SUA is ranked 2nd and Fairmont is ranked 3rd in the league. Fairmont Field Hockey ends their regular season with 2 wins against Talawnada.  JV started off the night with a 2-0 win over the Braves.  Megan McGhee (’21) had 1 goal and 1 assist.  Grace Wetzel (’22) had 1 goal.  Lucia Pett (’22) had 3 goalie saves and is credited with the shutout.  JV had 7

Varsity Field Hockey won their last league game of the season against Talawanda High School.  Fairmont came out showing their strength with scoring 5 goals in the first half.  Those goals were scored by Lucy Davis (’19) (3), Katelyn Lesniak (’19), and Olivia Nevin (’19).  In the second half Fairmont continued to score with goals

Varsity Field Hockey Wins a Nail Biter Against MND, 1-0

Varsity Field Hockey got another league win against Mount Notre Dame after playing 69 minutes and 55 seconds of very tough field hockey.  For the 60 minutes of regular time, the game could have gone either way.  Both teams had opportunities to be the first on the score board but the defenses shut it down. 

Field Hockey Beats Oakwood in League Game, 1-0

Varsity Field Hockey beat the Oakwood Jills for the second time this season.  This game counted towards their league records.  The game was a hard fought match between the crosstown rivals.  Fairmont finally took the lead with 11 minutes left in the game with Lucy Davis’s (’19) unassisted goal.  Genevieve Paulick (’19) and Hana Tinch

Varsity Field Hockey Loses to Ursuline Academy, 2-3

Varsity Field Hockey got their first loss of the season to league opponent, Ursuline Academy.  The Birds played their best game of the season.  Both teams went back and forth until the Lions got the first goal with less than 5 minutes left in the 1st half.  Ursuline continued with their momentum and scored again

Varsity Field Hockey Remains Undefeated with Win Over Oakwood, 3-2

Varsity Field Hockey beat crosstown rivals, the Oakwood Jills, during the special Far Hills Field Hockey Family Hoopla (FH3) event.  Oakwood came out swinging and scored the first goal 10 minutes into the game.  But the Birds didn’t let it phase them and were able to score with 7 minutes left in the 1st half

Varsity Field Hockey Beats Indian Hill Braves, 1-0

Varsity field hockey took on the Indian Hill Braves on August 28th.  The Birds and Braves went back and forth for the whole 60 minutes of play.  Meigan Karolak (’20) was able to capitalize on an opportunity and scored midway through the 1st half.  Unfortunately, Fairmont had 2 goals called back for being too high
