Women’s Soccer: Firebirds Shutout Wayne. JV win streak continues.

The Lady Firebirds played well against the Wayne Warriors, bringing home 2 shutouts, with stellar defense. JV scored early when Allison Bauman drew a penalty after being fouled in the Warrior’s box.  Corinne Tew took the PK and scored on a low shot to the left corner of the goal.  Corinne is now the JV team

Varsity Field Hockey Win 8th Straight Game, 9-1

Varsity Field Hockey won their last league game of the season against Talawanda High School.  Fairmont came out showing their strength with scoring 5 goals in the first half.  Those goals were scored by Lucy Davis (’19) (3), Katelyn Lesniak (’19), and Olivia Nevin (’19).  In the second half Fairmont continued to score with goals

JV Field Hockey Ties Talawanda HS, 1-1

JV Field Hockey played their last league game against Talawanda High School.  Talawanda scored first with less than a minute left in the first half.  Fairmont dominated the game with 10 offensive corners but were unable to score until 15 minutes left in the game by Bailey Riley (’21).  The game ended in a 1-1

Fairmont Rallies Past Wayne to Win 3-1

Despite the summer-like temperatures, the Fairmont men’s varsity soccer team came out cold against Wayne on Tuesday night, giving up a soft first-half goal just a few minutes into the game. Volley For The Cure

The Firebird volleyball program will host Springfield on Thursday, 10/4, for their Volley for the cure match. Freshman and JV will play at 5:30. Women’s Soccer: JV defeats Xenia, Varsity falls.

JV Lady Firebirds went into halftime at a 0-0 tie, but didn’t want to end that way.  The second half they kept the shooting parade going and were able to net 2 goals for the Win.  The first goal came off a corner kick by Corinne Tew, which hit of the fingertips of the keeper

GWOC SILVER CHAMPIONS

The Lady Firebird tennis team competed in the GWOC Silver tournament this past week. The team dominated their opponents winning 13 out of 15 matches! Katie West was the champion at 1st singles. The 2nd singles champion was Emma Fugate. Becca Krieger claimed 4th place. The doubles team of Ally Hesse and Maddie Taphorn were champions

Last week was a crazy week. The weather just wasn’t cooperating with Senior night. As of this moment tomorrow looks good! Our varsity team made us all proud on Wednesday by capturing the GWOC Silver tournament title. Every player earned a medal! We won 4 out of 5 brackets. We have 3 matches and sectionals
