Birds Edge Northmont in Men’s Soccer, 3-2

It was a tale of two halves in the Fairmont men’s varsity soccer game Tuesday night against Northmont. In the first half, the scoring was all Firebirds, with senior Riley Vanderkaay leading the way. Riley played a role in each of the Firebirds’ three goals, scoring the first and third and assisting on the second.

Fairmont Men’s Soccer Cruises Past Piqua

It was a humid night in Piqua, with conditions ripe for multiple Firebird goals. JV started the night off with a scorching 7-0 win over the Indians, with six Firebirds scoring. James Molnar scored two goals, one in each half, and Cory Marks, John Leland, Kenny Sherick, Brody Mast and Tristan Werner all put goals on the board.
