The Fairmont Girl’s Basketball teams fell to Springboro in a GWOC contest on Saturday afternoon.  The Firebirds were down 8-10 after a solid first quarter.  In the second quarter, it was much of the same as it went back and forth.  Springboro took a half-time lead at 22-16.  The Panthers took advantage of the Firebird turnovers in the 2nd half and increased their lead with a final score of 54-26.  The Birds were led in scoring by Mallory Hullinger who had 14 points.  Kenzie Roark added-in 6 points and a team high 6 rebounds.  Cierra Hupke, Mari Carter, and Serena Baker all added in 2 points each.

In JV action, Springboro won 44-19.  The Birds were led in scoring by Julianne Marcum with 5 points and Bella Roberts with 4.

In the early game, the Freshman lost 37-25.  High Scorers for the Firebirds were Bella Deppen 13 and Sarah Erskine with 6.
