Kettering Fairmont High School will recommend their new head boys basketball coach at the May School Board meeting.

Pending School Board approval, Kenny Molz will be the next boys’ varsity basketball coach at Kettering Fairmont High School. Coach Molz is a past graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School (2000), where he played under Head Coach, Tim Casey. He went on to attend Wittenburg University where he played basketball from 2001-2005.

Coach Molz has been the Boys Varsity Head Coach for Monroe High School for the past four years. Prior to this, Coach Molz was held positions as Junior Varsity Head Coach and Freshman Head Coach for Upper Arlington High School from 2006 – 2015. He was part of the 2014 DI State Runner Up coaching staff under Tim Casey.

“I’m really excited to have Coach Molz on board. Kenny is incredibly passionate about the game of basketball and is looking forward to sharing his vision and goals with our student athletes. He also looks to build a strong culture of “winners” on and off the court. The Kettering Community is very passionate about our schools and its sports programs and we are thrilled to welcome back one of our own to our Firebird Coaching Family, says Fairmont Athletic Director Chris Weaver.
